Beeswax candles give any room a warm atmosphere with their natural golden color and sweet honey scent.

Beeswax is a great material for all types of candles because it burns five times slower than other waxes. Beeswax candles come in many shapes and sizes. The different types of beeswax candles have different uses depending on the occasion and desired look.

Beeswax candles can be made by rolling a beeswax sheet into a cylinder, or melting the wax and pouring it into a mold. The pure beeswax sheet is a textured, honeycomb material. The poured beeswax is smooth, but still has a golden color, which can be white if the beeswax is bleached.

Pure beeswax makes a great material for floating candles because it has no additives and is translucent. When lit, it reflects the light from the water. Floating beeswax candles are small candles shaped so they can float on water. In order for the candle to float, the top of the candle must be bigger than the bottom, much like a boat on water. Floating candles are placed in a bowl of water. One or many candles can be used, depending on the size of the bowl.

Floating candles are most attractive when incorporated within a theme. This can mean color, holiday or wedding themes. Floating beeswax candles with accenting flowers make a great centerpiece for any occasion. The combination of fire and water makes a brilliant display.

Pillar beeswax candles are great for brightening up any room. Pure beeswax is a wonderful material for pillar candles because it burns much slower than other waxes. Pillar candles are thick candles varying in height and width. Some pillar candles are wide and have multiple wicks. These types of pillar candles give off more light, but still burn slowly.

Pillar beeswax candles are most commonly made from honeycomb-textured beeswax sheets. They look great by themselves, perhaps tied with an accent ribbon. They also look nice with different sized candles grouped together, making a great decorative element to any space. Pillar beeswax candles need little to no other decorative embellishment because they are naturally beautiful themselves. The rich golden color compliments almost any color theme.

Tapper beeswax candles give a natural elegance to any table. Unlike other types of waxes, tapper candles made from 100 percent beeswax are dripless if kept away from a draft, so there will be no worrying over the table cloth. These candles can be made with rolled honeycomb or poured beeswax. These candles are ideal for formal occasions, such as an elegant dinner, wedding or other celebration. Parties are a great time to be dramatic. Tapper candles look rich and elegant, giving the space a magical feel.
